The EV Plus 16A Portable EV Charger is an adjustable current, dual-voltage charging solution for mobile Level 2 and Level 1 applications. This 25-foot unit provides a versatile interface between standard electrical outlets and any J1772-compatible vehicle. Utilizing a native NEMA 6-20 input (with an included NEMA 5-15 adapter), the charger delivers a consistent 16A or 12A output depending on the power source and circuit capacity.

Operational Instructions

  • Engagement: Next, insert the J1772 connector into the vehicle port. A green light on the control box will then confirm the active charging state.
  • Disconnection: Upon completion, disconnect the vehicle side first, followed by the wall outlet.

 

Maintenance & Lifespan

  • Environmental Protection: Store the unit in a dry, ventilated area. While IP55 rated, prolonged exposure to direct rain or extreme UV should be minimized to preserve jacket integrity.
  • Stress Management: Store in a loose coil. Avoid sharp bends or twisting, which can lead to internal copper fatigue.
  • Contamination Control: Ensure the J1772 pins remain free of debris. Use dry compressed air for cleaning if exposed to dust or salt air.
